The hotel's central location and well-equipped rooms were commendable, offering a comfortable retreat for those exploring the city. The cleanliness of the facilities, particularly the immaculate bathroom and comfortable bedding, added to the overall positive experience.However, the lack of modern amenities and the dated decor detracted from the luxury one might expect from a Grand Hotel. The steep bathtub and numerous steps within the rooms may pose challenges for elderly guests or those with mobility issues. The pricing seemed disproportionate to the offerings, making it harder to justify the overall value proposition.While the hotel's generous Dutch breakfast and friendly staff were highlights, I couldn't overlook the need for a more contemporary touch to justify the cost. For those seeking a nostalgic experience akin to a bygone era, Hampshire Hotel may hold a certain allure. Yet, for travelers seeking a blend of luxury and value, exploring other options in Valkenburg might be worth considering.
